TRIP HIGHLIGHTS

Angkor Wat Sunrise Perfect Photography
Start your Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour with exclusive 5:15 AM arrival, securing prime viewing positions at the famous reflection pools an hour before tourist buses appear. Watch as golden rays illuminate the temple's five towers, creating mirror-perfect images on still water surfaces. Your expert guide positions you at optimal spots for capturing this bucket-list moment, revealing hidden angles where ancient stone architecture frames the rising sun. This early access transforms your visit into an intimate encounter with Cambodia's most sacred monument.
Ta Prohm - Tomb Raider Temple
Your Angkor Wat Sunrise Tour takes you through Ta Prohm, where massive silk cotton and strangler fig tree roots have grown through 12th-century temple walls for centuries. This atmospheric site, left partly unrestored since its rediscovery, became world-famous as the Tomb Raider filming location with Angelina Jolie. Walk stone corridors where sunlight filters through jungle canopy, photograph roots that look like nature's sculptures, and feel the power of time as you witness trees and temples locked in an eternal dance.

Itinerary

Upon arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport and after clearing all customs procedures, please proceed to the exit gate. Look for your driver, who will be waiting in the lobby holding a signboard with your name on it. If you are unable to locate your driver, please visit the airport information counter for assistance or call the emergency numbers provided by your travel advisor.

Once you meet your driver, they will assist you with your luggage and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, you will have the rest of the day at your leisure to relax, explore the hotel amenities, or begin discovering the vibrant city of Phnom Penh.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will set off to explore Phnom Penh, the capital city of Cambodia. This region is recognized as the leading economic zone in the country, boasting significant commercial and political relevance along with numerous tourist attractions.

Our first stops will be the historical sites, including the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek and the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum. Following this, we will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before heading to the Royal Palace, home to the royal family, where we’ll also see the Silver Pagoda.

Next, we will visit Wat Phnom, the site where Phnom Penh was founded, and then make our way to Wat Ounalom, the largest monastery in the city. We will take a moment to admire the Independence Monument and the statue of the King Father before concluding our tour at the Central Market, a delightful shopping destination built during the colonial era.

Later in the evening, we will embark on a cruise to witness the stunning sunset over the Mekong and Tonle Sap Rivers at the “Four Arms” area, where the Mekong meets the Tonle Sap and splits into two branches. This picturesque setting provides a perfect backdrop for relaxation and reflection. Finally, we will return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Phnom Penh.

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, please complete the check-out formalities. We will then depart for Battambang by private car, covering a distance of 290 km, which will take approximately 4 to 5 hours.

On our journey, we will make a stop at the Silversmith Village to observe the skilled artisans at work and visit a local pottery manufacturer in Kompong Chhnang. Additionally, we will explore a vibrant fish market, where you can experience the local culture and see the variety of fresh seafood available.

Upon our arrival in Battambang, you will check in at your hotel and have some time to relax. In the afternoon, we will take a leisurely walk through the town, where you can admire its beautiful colonial architecture and visit the bustling Psar Nat central market. This market is a great place to immerse yourself in local life and shop for unique handicrafts and souvenirs.

After exploring the market, visit Phnom Sampeau mountain to see killing caves, where massacre was held in the past, learn from our guide and visit the hills of human bones on top of the mountain. On the summit, few viewpoints can be discovered and descend to the base to view the spectacle million of bats flowing from a cave high up on the north side of the cliff in sunset. Returning to your hotel.

After checking out, we will take you to experience the Bamboo Train ride and visit Phnom Banan Temple and Wat Ek Phnom Pagoda. First, enjoy a ride on the Bamboo Train, a unique and original means of transport on the railway tracks. The train consists of two axles with wheels, covered with a bamboo mat for comfort. If there is oncoming traffic, the vehicle can simply be lifted off the rails and placed back down afterward. During the ride, we will stop at a small settlement where the locals are very friendly. You may find children surrounding you, eager to share smiles and enjoy taking pictures together.

Next, we will visit Phnom Banan, a beautiful and serene Angkorian temple situated on a hilltop. This site offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape, making it a perfect spot for photography and reflection.

On our way back, we will also stop at the only vine plantation in Cambodia, located between the Banan Mountains and Battambang. Here, you can taste the locally produced wine either at the winery or in some nearby restaurants. The area is also known for its diverse fruit plantations, including oranges, bananas, dragon fruit, and various vegetable farms.

Finally, we will continue to Wat Ek Phnom, which features the ruins of an 11th-century temple. This site showcases classic Khmer architecture and is rich in historical and cultural significance. After our visit, we will travel to Siem Reap City, concluding a day filled with exploration and discovery.

You will be picked up from your hotel lobby before sunrise at 4:40 AM by private tuk-tuk, accompanied by a professional English-speaking tour guide. We will then proceed to witness the breathtaking sunrise at Angkor Wat, one of the world’s cultural heritage sites and the largest temple in the world.

After enjoying the sunrise, we will spend approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes exploring the entire Angkor Wat temple complex, capturing beautiful photographs before the crowds arrive. Following our visit, you can enjoy breakfast at a local family restaurant in Siem Reap. Here, you will also have the chance to experience rural life in Preah Dak village, near the countryside community of the Angkor temples, and taste traditional palm cake.

Next, we will continue our journey to the jungle temples of Ta Prohm and Ta Nei, renowned for being left in their original state, with trees and massive roots partially overtaking the structures. Afterward, we will visit Bayon Temple and the Victory Gate of Angkor Thom. This iconic landmark, built by King Jayavarman VII, is notable for its unique architecture and spiritual significance as a Mahayana Buddhist site. Bayon is the only monastery that has survived to this day and was historically used for worship, education, and administration. After our explorations, you will return to your hotel to relax by the swimming pool.

In the evening, you will have the delightful opportunity to enjoy the Siem Reap Phare Circus. This unique experience allows you to watch a captivating performance by our talented students right here at the big top on our campus.
